Light Computer Centre has a long history of providing technology solutions and hardware to the southern Ontario region. We actually started in the late 1970s as Hamilton Computer on King Street West in Hamilton, Ontario. A re-name and location change a few doors down to the west and Light Computer Centre was born. This was back in the 'old days' of personal computing and the product line included IBM PC jr, Apple II and Casio Adam computers. As well we had a line of programmable calculators - hard to believe that these calculators cost more back then than many computers today!

Current owners, Shawn and Elli Chamberlin, purchased the business in 1986. There was a lot happening in the Apple Computer and personal computing world at that time with the mass introduction of the laser printer and along with it, the DeskTop Publishing industry. Light Computer Centre became an Apple ONLY dealer with focus on integration, training, networking and solutions. Light Computer Centre served it's growing customer base with a one-on-one personalised touch and built a stable of products and services helping small and medium business to get more out of their computer investments.

Over the last 20 plus years a lot has changed in the computer industry. Hardware is more powerful and smaller. Software is more powerful and larger! There are many more networking options, printing and output technologies and digital cameras, music, everything! But at Light Computer Centre it is still the one-on-one touch that keeps customers coming back. "Plus que ca change, plus que c'est la meme chose" - The more things change, the more they stay the same.
